Last year's race took just under seven hours, over about the same distance and an apparently harder course. So I'd expect the finish around 7-7.30. Don't rely on me though.

Absolutely! But some won't be able to bring themselves to use that. They'll be waiting for Vacansoleil+ or something like that.

This is when having a 9 month old daughter comes in handy too. Mum can sleep upstairs while we watch the race inadvertently earning brownie points. 8)

Bonus brownie points are the best.

Is it 0100 on Sunday morning or 0100 Monday morning? 'Cos if it's Saturday night into Sunday morning I'll still be up from watching the Football League Show.

Melbourne is currently +9 hours ahead of UK time.....and will be at the time of the Worlds. Clock changes won't occur in Melbourne until early October I believe. 10am local time, will be as already stated, 1am UK time.

It will be interesting to see what the weather is like for the Worlds. This weekend large parts of the State, including Geelong, are being hit by heavy rain and the weather has been pretty wet at times over the last few weeks.

For those picking in the PTP comp....I suggest you wait until the final minute and check the weather forecast before making your choice. If it continues to rain in the same manner, a surprise winner could emerge.
