I managed to draft a local farmer with his tractor & hay cutter for SIX miles at a constant 27mph.
Well chuffed as it included a few lumps in the road as well
:lol:
Meant my 40 mile run ave'gd at 21mph...
can't really log it can I............. :cry:

    So tractors on the roads do have a use :)

    You wouldn't wanted to have got caught in the hay cutter for six miles. Serious road rash :(

    Why not, you were riding the bike. If you'd done it on a club run or group ride you wouldn't have any qualms.

    Get it logged in your riding diary and sleep easy. :D

    Well if you do it will give you a good target to chase :)

    I made the mistake of logging a PB for my ride into work that was wind-assisted. Since then I have managed to equal it but not beat it (yet!) :lol:

    I so very nearly managed to do the same for about two miles on my second ever TT. In truth I didn't quite have the legs to catch it coming onto a roundabout ahead of me but I really wasn't sure I wanted an artificial time anyway. On a leisure ride though, go for it! Some days are windy, some wet, some you get held up by punctures and some you get a tractor tow.

    Remember racing many a tractor 25 years ago on the A1 on way home from work. Could beat 9 out of 10 of them then!

    I got the chance to do some speed work behind my team car a few weeks back. 40MPH+ on the flat for a few miles. Never done anything like that before but a serious blast.
