A colleague's brother has set up a company selling the lights features in this website - what do people think?

  • reminds me of school dico kit from the 90's that clear LED tubing type stuff lol.
  • Unless it flashes or something I don't think it's bright enough to catch a dozy motorists attention. You may as well just have reflective tape in a similar pattern.

Hmmm - so it slows down speeders and makes the inattentive suddenly see you?????

Reflectors would be cheaper, lighter, not run out of batteries and wouldn't be so distracting to me when riding - that light pollution means you won't see past the top tube if you glance down and the light spill coming up at you will have an effect on your vision. Flashing would be even worse for this issue IMO

Would it be any more visible in an HGV's blind spot. (conversely flashing may help here with light bouncing off the panels)

good from the side bit far less so from behind or in front where you lose almost all of the benefits of the wraparound.

good luck with it to him but it's not for me Ta.

looking at the specs on the site it does flash and weighs 97grams inc batteries. 120hours flashing 50hours steady. takes two aa batteries. personally i think it would be better wrapped around the rider, order the blue one and make like tron
also the £20 asking price seems reasonable
