Is this a good bike?

For the last 2 years I've been riding a Carrera Subway 1 to college (about 12 miles each way) each day. It's not missed a beat and is without question the best £180 I've ever spent.
Anyway, I'm now going to University in Lampeter (mid Wales, out in the sticks) and I want to buy a mountain bike. I think I'm going to go for the Boardman HT Comp (£699). I've been briefly reading these forums though and Pauls Cycles keep coming up as a good place to buy a good bike.
What I'd quite like is some impartial advice on this bike. http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/products.p ... 1b7s2p1539 . It's available in my size (16") and works out about £60 cheaper after postage and getting my LBS to put it together, which for a student is always nice.
Compared to the Boardman, how does it rank? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

yes
For the price that is a good deal - decent frame, fork and kit provided you don't mind buying a bike two years old. I'd definitely have a look at it for that price, top value for money imho0
