After my previous thread where I managed to get a rear disk onto my 99 Zaskar LE frame, I stripped the bike down to donate parts for my daughters bike.

Last night I built it back up out of left overs. Rode it to work (18m on road) this morning, and am very impressed with how it goes. :)

Will post pics later, but the spec is now.

1999 Zaskar LE frameset in Cosmic Sunrise.
RST XMO air cartridge forks
Formula disk hubs laced to WTB dual rims
Hutchinson Pirahna tyres
Truvativ Stylo Team SQ Taper Crankset
UN72 btm bracket
8 sp LX level cassette
Cheapo Shimano 8sp STI shifters
XTR rear mech
XT front mech
XTR V Brakes
Avid 2.0 brake levers
Kore Lite stem
Easton Monkey Lite Carbon bars and seat post
Flite saddle
520 SPD pedals

All in all a hit and miss selection of bits, but it rides well on the road and X/C as long as it is not too extreme.

I initially replaced the forks with Tora 318 Air things, but they are far too heavy for the bike and the top out clunk is very annoying. The RST performs well enough, is very light - but the wrong colour.

Wheels are what I gave up for the daughters bike, so am on the lookout for a nice light set.

Will need a new crankset and btm bkt soon as I have creaks ahoy.

Future upgrades may well be -
Wheels
Crankset and BB
Maybe forks with a front disk.
Am going to leave the V on the back as my contraption spoils the bikes clean lines.

Will sort pics out after it has had a wash :D
