Will Shimano centrelock rotors work ok with Hope Mini brakes?

As long as they are the right size.

Or you could get an adaptor to use the Hope rotors if you have them and don't want to spend much more money

I thought shimano rotors were slightly thicker than hope's.
Eagles may fly high but Weasels dont get sucked into jet engines.

  • Basically my wheels at the moment, Hope XC/Mavic 517's, are knackered and I 'd prefer to wait until next year to buy another set of Hope wheels (well missus/kids/mortgage/etc. would rather i'd wait!).
In the meantime I want to buy a cheap set to see me through till then and I'm looking at the Shimano MT15's (less than £80 at Merlin), but they are centrelock only. I've seen centrelock discs for £10 each which will take me to £100ish all in. But this is only relevant if they'll fit my Hope brakes.
I've toyed with the idea of the adaptors, but don't really like the look of them. Pathetic I know, but you know how it is!

i think Superstar do adaptors for centrelock hubs that will allow you to keep you existing rotor. :D

yup and they also come in different colours so you add bling at the same time:

I can't comment on the superstar adaptors mentioned above but when I used the shimano adaptors on an SLX front hub they pushed the Hope rotors out too far so that they rubbed on the caliper mount. You can file the mount down slightly to stop it rubbing but it's something to think about.

Floating rotors by any chance, just what they do normally
