Giro LX gloves - very poor

Just thought I'd warn anyone who fancied treating themselves to some of these. I decided to go mad and invest in a pair earlier in the summer. I have to say when they arrived I was well pleased, very light, soft and comfortable with just about the right amount of padding for me. After a few rides I was a bit worried about the fact that the leather seemed to have all the characteristics of extremely expensive blotting paper, but hey, they're gloves, they'd be expected to get damp aren't they?
Sadly after just a few rides the leather began to dry out and toughen up. Then recently the black dye began to bleed from the gloves, staining both the nice white leather and, more embarrasingly, my hands. Funny how it wouldn't stay on the gloves, but was wonderful at sticking to my hands.
I wrote to Giro asking if they felt I was doing anything wrong with them. For some reason they've chosen not to bother to reply which is a bit disappointing and surprising.
But, hooray for good old Wiggle, despite my having bought the gloves several months earlier, they gave me an immediate full refund.
Hopefully my experience is a one off, but just in case...
