Well as promised here are a few snaps of my new bike after a quick blast around the local country park...Bike didn't get too dirty as it was quite dry which I was glad of as it absolutely tippled it down just as I got home  I have upgraded the saddle to a selle Italia c2 gel and put a cat eye wireless computer on. The first few pictures are of the bike on the roof of my Citroen C2 with Cruz aero bars and Thule 561 fork mounted carrier. Any comments welcome :)

Also got some decent glasses from Lidl last week. For the money (£7.99) they seem good value IMO with 3 lenses and a good case...Also bought a pair of DHB shoes which have served me well for the last 2 outings..

Thanks. Got to9pick it up today as the caliper was leaking a little oil and contaminated the pad...Hopefully under warranty as its only 3 weeks old...
  • Nice looking bike, and i'd be very surprised if they didn't cover it under warranty.

The bars look to be at a very odd angle in the 5th photo down, may benefit from being rotated slightly.

The calliper was placed under warranty so no problems now :D

Which way would you say? Away or towards me?

  • Nice bike, I do like the colour of the 2010 Scale 35.

I bought an 09 Scale 35 at the end of last year and it is a great bike. I would have liked the 2010 colour scheme, but I got a bargain on the older model. I took mine to bits before riding it and rebuilt it with lighter components, it goes great, although really it is more of a Scale 3.5 now. If you do start upgrading, change the wheels first, on the 09 bike the rear wheel weighed more than the frame!

With the bars it looks like they need rotating upwards slightly. They are supposed to be flat, with some backwards sweep. although it could just be an optical illusion in the photo.

Yes, as Jason says, but they do look fine in the other photos, so it could just be the angle. If they're comfortable then it doesn't really matter!
  • I love scales and the colour of the new ones are sweet. Very nice bud! Very nice indeed!
  • Nice ride. How does it feel having a cardon fibre part frame? Do worry about it breaking?

I could of had the '09 at an even better price but the colour scheme of this just made me want to have it. I think it is light enough for the use that it is going to get...For the time being anyway  The bars do seem to be comfortable so maybe it was just thie pic looked 'odd'

Thanks. I dont worry as I am not into fast downhill or anything major. Just a few trails here and there and a little bit of road.

lovely bike you have there, i'd love one of those carbon scale's 8)

how are you finding the saddle? i've just fitted the same one and find it a big improvement over the original, although, i've not done a really long ride on it yet

They are a nice bike aren't they 8) I love the colour scheme. The saddle up to now seems to be a massive improvment over the standard saddle. I changed it after my first time out as my bum was extremely sore haha. But I can now ride without much discomfort. I am also wearing padded shorts. Overall, I love the saddle.
