Got a new bike delivered yesterday.
However it was left in back garden, unsecured.

Quiet suburban area, so it was there when I got home.

Seems someone "signed" for it, but none of my neighbors that I advised as a delivery alternative have that name.

Anyone had a similar experience?

  • Was it the postie? Sometimes ours will sign for things.

    No, delivery company.

Big upgrade on previous MTB, plus got all sorts of new bling for it.

Probably not get proper ride on it till next week.

I had the opposite. Said they left a note cos nobody was home. Was in all day, and no note was found. Driver probably couldn't be arsed or was running late and just went back to depot so he could knock off on time.

    Are you mad?

I'd have been calling asking where the bike was.

It is CityLink responsibility for leaving in the garden unsecure.

I have had Wiggles courier leave £200 worth of stuff "by the bins" before.

    On bin day.

Fortunately they must have come after the bin lorry.

I have also had a courier used by Amazon leave an expensive photo printer, resplendent in it's Canon box, "on the front door step" - directly on the street, in London. Needless to say that was not there when I got home, fvcking muppets.
