On a best of type Faithless track, there's a choral/opera intro by a soprano ( Can't name the track, CD and cover in the Mrs car and she's out walking the Welsh mountains! )
Think it's one of Faithless more well known/popular tracks.
BUT...I'm SURE this is sampled from Mythodea by Vangelis, Movement 9, I believe.
( This was the music written for NASA's Mars mission in 2001.)
It's doing my head in!
Does anyone know if it's the same music/singer etc?
TA!

If you're talking about the last track on Reverence - their 1995ish album - called 'drifting away' then you're wrong.
It's an arie from the opera "Mefistofele" by the Italian, Arrigo Boito and it's called "L'altra notte in fondo al mare".
Just off the top of my head, of course.0 -
The track's probably Drifting Away, off the Reverence album.
If so, the singer's Penny Shaw. It's not a sample.0 -

Yes, but I didn't know where the original aria was from.

Naw...different, but similar-ish.
Now, if I could only find the I love horses re-mix.
Think it was "Lord-Lucan-Rides-Shergar".0
