Best brakes for xc

At the moment I have a set of Hope Mono Mini Pro 2s but I'm looking to upgrade. I want something that is very light but also has a lot of stopping power. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Any sort of budget?

    Avid XX would get my vote, although I've had some problems with a sticky piston they're good and powerful, and light too.

    Alternatively Hope Race X2s if you like your Minis.

    Mini Pro's are great xc brakes.

    If you want to sharpen them up a bit, maybe try upgrading your pads, or if you want a bit more power possibly go up a rotor size.
