So, I'm back to work tomorrow after breaking my clavicle.
Went on Facebook to see this post:
This means my first shift in ages is from six until about four.
For anybody who knows Glasgow, the pizzas aren't coming from the Alexandra Parade store since they can't stay open past midnight because there are flats above them, so they have to come from Battlefield.

And you'll have to struggle trying to quarter a 10 slice pizza!0

Papa John's totally own Domino's...
But can I get a large Meltdown Revenge without that guffing yank mustard? :P
Good luck.0 -
There are two Papa John's in Glasgow now. And I'm well glad because, dare I say, it tastes better.
That mustard is not good to be near with a hangover. Same with the sun-dried tomato and garlic sauce. :oops:0 -

But do they go via the Gorbals or Bridgeton Cross?

Nice advertising - be managing the store before you know it0

I had a dominoes pizza last week from my local branch. I have to say at £15 it was pretty poor value, and not as good as something from pizza hut - very disappointing. £15 can buy a seriously tasty curry or chinese.0

I would imagine so. But just think of the delivery cost from Battlefield!

Dominos licks b@lls. Pizza Hut is where it's at.
But both are significantly overpriced. £15 for a pizza? That's insane.0 -
My favourite pizza is from IL Pomodoro in Egham.
Their stuff crust chicken and mushroom is better than anything Pizza Hut or Dominoes can do and alot cheaper if you collect.
Good thing about Dominoes is the BOGOF on collection. 2 Large pizzas for the price of one.

It did include delivery and a bottle of coke, but it wasn't the largest size, and it was a standard topping, not make yer own jobbie. If it had been great to eat then OK, but the box it came in had a similar taste to be honest.0 -

This times a million.
When I was at University there was one guy we lived with who was a bit minted. As such he could afford Dominos once a week and would sit on the sofa and swiftly demolish two pizzas while we looked despondently at our Pot Noodles. Bastard.
Been a bit chippy about Dominos ever since to be honest...0 -

Okay, it turns out that my shop isn't doing it until the 2nd of October. Glad I managed to get away at a decent time tonight. Think it's probably the West End store or Crow Road doing it tonight.
It is a bit expensive. That was the main reason I got a job in there when I was still in school (although, back then it was more like £10 for a large). I was getting a bit poor as me and one of my mates would get one every week. Back then I could devour a starter, large pizza, desert and a bottle of Irn-Bru. Now I struggle with a small.
Been working in there for like three years now, and am definitely not looking forward to the day I have to leave and get a real job.0 -
Why do they put round pizza in a square box?0
-
Dominos, Papa Johns etc etc way over priced.
Local Morrison 3 freshly made 10" pizzas £5.0 -
Piazzas clearly go in a square box because it's too hard to make a round one.
As far as I know, supermarkets use frozen, pre-make bases. Same with Pizza Hut. Domino's and Papa's use real dough.0 -

Pizzas are round because it's too hard to stretch a square pizza (with the exception of any newbies. They always manage squares and never circles).

Pizza Hut, Dominoes and yes Papa Johns too are the equivalent of starbucks.0
