What do guys think of my ride I'm putting together. Please ignore the forks and front wheel, these will be upgraded once I get the cash. For now though, I have just installed full XT tranmission and V brakes. I'm pretty happy so far, let me know your opinions and or suggestions for forks.

I would like a disk brake on the front, but would end up with odd brake levers on the bike as I don't have disk mounts on the back.

What's the best fork to get with brake bosses?

  • Well you need a quill stem threaded fork with probably 80mm of travel - not sure what your options are for that.

You might still be able to get a Marzocchi MX with the right travel and steerer on CRC I think.
    Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.
  • well done, it a good bike.

Well I decided, as much as I love my hard tail I decided to buy my 1st full sus.

    Pictures soon.

What's the point of a savings account you've had since 16 (32 now) if you don't use it. :D

Shit why not, I worked for it. Nothing OTT, just a nice bike, with a few neccessary upgrades added.

A couple of tweaks to go a I'll post the pics.
