I do like the look of Condor bikes, but their website is down. £1500 is my maximum I want to spend, anyone know what they have in that price range?
Say... That's a nice bike..

There was a very pretty steel Condor reviewed in this month's Cycling+. I think they one they had on test was a bit over your budget, but moving down a groupset put it around £1500 IIRC.

You should be able to get a Fratello (Columbus steel audax style frame with carbon forks) or Heritage tourer (as Fratello but stronger rear triangle and steel fork) for under £1.5k - my heritage came with Tiagra and was about £1300 last December. What sort of bike are you after? They are all priced as frame and fork then add choice of groupset and finishing kit. Their own handbuilt wheels have a good rep.
  • The Acciaio could be in your budget with the right spec. Have a looksie here - http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15977191
  • I think you'll have plenty of choice with 1500 pounds my friend ... if you're London based get yourself down there and smell the place and more than likely spend over your budget ... four years ago I went in with a £700 budget and came out with a £1200 bill for a Squadra + Veloce groupset
  • website is now up and is pretty good
I'm thinking of the Italia or Accialo

I think that you could probably get a Squadra with Rival for that much, defo an Italia with Rival.

They'll fit you on the jig which is good and if you are paying cash it is worth asking them if they can do you a deal/throw stuff in - they do cycle2work, so should give cash buyers a better deal...

They charge +£50 for C2W (I got a Heritage Tourer from them on C2W - great service!).
