Help me out here...
I recently bought new forks for my 2005 5-Spot after the long serving Pace ones died - a shiny pair of 140mm Fox Float 32 RLs. Installed these and really didn't get on with the ride at all - felt very 'barge' like, as if it had slackened the front end too much.
Swapped them with the RS Revelations (forget which exactly - coil sprung U-Turn) and set them to 130mm and now the bike feels great again.
According to the web, the a2c on the Fox's is 510mm and the Revs is 508mm, which shouldn't make any difference at all, so what's going on? Nothing else changed, just the forks, although I may have lowered the stem very slightly (maybe 10mm)...
I'm sure I'm just being thick, but I wouldn't have thought such a small change would have had such a marked difference...

Revelations are just better*
* not very constructive I know... But revs are amazing!0 -
Unfortuately just being 'better' doesn't really have that much of an impact as described!0

Other changes will add up to. You mentioned you'd also lowered your stem.
Only you know what else has changed :roll:0 -

As stated, I swapped the forks over and the stem was about 10mm (one spacer) lower. That was it.0 -
well you've answered your own question. You changed the stem as well.
What else would you like, a badge?0 -
Thanks, as ever for the helpful response.0

no problems. Your only helpful response was your very own first post though, no need to credit me with it.0

Dropping from 140mm front fork to a 130mm fork will have made the head angle steeper.0
