I'm going to be staying nr Seaton next week.
from a old thread http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15747544
found morganhayes and Shute Hill.
trying to find places that I can ride to, as i hate road work with knobblies. and car makes it a lot more complicated.
This said I'm toying with dartmoor as its much more likely to be like the stuff I started with, as was born and bred in the Breacon Beacons.
so good folks ideas?

Hi Roger
There are some okish routes near Seaton (which you've mentioned) and Sidmouth but if you want some challenging routes then I'd head to Woodbury if you are in that area. However it's not the sort of place to go without a little local knowledge. And it will be best to drive.
Between Exeter and Sidmouth is Mutter's Moor. It's ok for a quick blast. There's also Haldon a few more miles away just past Exeter. Again you'll need to drive.
And as you said Dartmoor..which IMHO...has the best routes in Devon and Cornwall.
Our club is usually out and about during the week up Haldon, Woodbury or Dartmoor so if you fancy it you are more than welcome to join us. Just drop me a PM.0
