Spare set of Ventos

Spotted Ribble have same wheels (albeit newer versions) on my OCR-1 wondering if it's good to pickup a spare set whilst it's on offer

£115 for pair of decent wheels seems great, however mine are slightly out of true and just wondering if bike shops can true these up, and availability of replacement spokes?

    I'd have thought the rear includes the freehub?? It's 135 grams heavier than the front, so unless the extra 3 spokes are made of something denser than lead, I suspect the freehub's to blame.

    ah right ta. Don't want to add freewheel if it comes with it, same for skewers, can always get them later anyway..

    Right I'm going to order two of these (one for Ventos, another for another Campag wheel I'm building up, Mirage)

    That's everything? I have campag cassette/BB tool, spanners, chainwhip etc. This'll be my first wheelset I've bought seperate to a bike, to build up for bikes I've already got. Everything ok? Both bikes are Campag obviously, 9 speed, Mirage and Veloce.

    Also looking at skewers, no need to fit them all, but may chuck the corroded ones on my winter bike, use the new ones from my Giant OCR and get set of planet-x ti ones £20. What is the function of those springs, I think I lost one a bit ago.

    skewers come with all campag wheels

    the freehub is part of the rear wheel and will not need to be ordered separately

    cool. But I need another pair of skewers anyway :-) Those are the correct lock rings? (bit stingy they don't include them with cassettes)

    Campag 9 speed is the same fitment as 10 or 11 speed no spacers needed. Ventos come with Freehub and Skewers.

    Get em bought and use your old ones on the turbo

    How come ribble state free delivery on orders over £50, yet delivery charge is £9.50 in the cart? Only free delivery is collection. :roll:

    cost of wheels, and two veloce cassettes = £166.22 :D Don't need lockrings, got two bikes, two lockrings already so that's enough :-)

    Wheels and cassettes arrived, look lovely :-D Also cassettes have the lock rings, always thought they didn't come with them!

    The springs keep the QR spindle centered so that the whell slips in more easily. If you've ever had to do a quick wheel change during a race you'll know how useful they are.

    Wheels/hubs come with 12t lockring, 11t smallest sprocket cassettes come with 11t lockrings.

    My two cassettes just arrived, 12-23 and 13-26, both came with lockrings! Saved £20!
