Its the best man-made singletrack I've ridden 8)
Its not very rocky, I was on my Pitch and my mate was on his HT neither of us wish we had went on different bikes.
Quite a long loop though (for a trail centre).0 -
I have done both the red and black routes on Hard Tails and Full sussers...I prefer the full susser though as it smooths out the rocky sections, namely the "Rocky Road" section, Hissing Syd, Jabberwocky, and Talnotry Hill....0

I did it on my Cube LTD Race, and it was capable of doing of everything. Its not that rocky compared to others like Glentress. If i were to go again though i think id enjoy it more on a FS.Giant XTC SE 2006
Cube LTD Race 2009
Trek Fuel EX 90 -

rocky? never seen any rocks @ GT and been riding there since before Stanes were thought about
Kirry can be ridden on a hardtail easily enough. I was using a 16yr old Bontrager until it gave up on me, now have a Blue Pig.0 -
Was up there over the Bank Holiday and rode the red route easily on my hard tail ... also must say it was great ... will be back soon to do the black0

Got totally lost on my first visit a month ago - trail markers went something like 70... to 90... to 45... to 1... missed a shed load and never really knew where the hell i was going!
A map is handy0
