    I asked my insurance company this as my bike is not an off the shelf jobbie and they said a mixture of photos of the complete bike with close-ups of the parts was easy enough to show and therefore prove the value of the bike. I took this as verbatum and phograph everyhting of any value in my house and then store it on a drive kept at my parents and also online on my apple account.
