This should be in the bike porn section with an over 18 rating.jedster wrote:Just off to contemplate my own mortality and inevitable descent into decrepedness.

Thanks! and No, I'm not located in the UK.
This is over in Singapore.
Anyway, I wouldn't call this a custom built bike since most of the parts were picked off the shelf from various different vendors from the likes of Wiggle, PBK, Slanecycles, CRC and so on...
Its probably customized to the way I wanted but in no way built up to a degree where custom geometry and tubings were used. Hope that helps!0 -
Very nice Lee! The most blingin' bike I've seen on BR!0

i think i might set this as my screen saver at work. The TIME logo running down the seatpost is just wow!
@leej88, how did you learn to assemble bikes? Can I also ask, if you don't mind, how much roughly would everything cost if someone were to assemble such a bike?0 -

Why not google the parts yourself?0 -

how are the roads in singapore, and malaysia for that matter?0

On average, roads in Singapore are pretty well paved with little or no potholes....at least at places I ride to.
However, the drivers have an intolerable attitude towards us cyclists on the whole and there's been a fair share of accidents and road bullying with a percentage of them being taxi drivers.
As for Malaysia, I'm really not quite sure since I've never ridden there before... But I've heard many riders talk about the rolling hills and extreme heat over there.0 -
There is a huge cycling fraternity here in Malaysia, for both off & on-road. And the roadies have successfully converted a few spots to cycling havens (Genting-Sempah, Bukit Jelutong, Putra-Jaya to name a few).
You are right about the rolling hills & heat, but if you start off early enough, you should be home just before the intense mid-day heat takes over the cool morning air.
The other road users here in Malaysia usually have a healthy respect for cyclist, especially if they see us with our proper gears, and sticking to the side of the road.
There's even a very popular website called bicyclebuysell (BBS), which is free-to-use, where enthusiast new & old trade on their wares regularly. Quite an enjoyable hobby if you are frequently upgrading your ride as stuff gets snapped-up very quickly.0 -
Gorgeous bike.... 8)Find your limits...and then exceed them frequently0
