Can I fit 28c width tyres to my Ridgeback Velocity hybrid?

It came with 37c width tyres and I want faster rolling tyres.. Can I go down to 28c width tyres?

    Yes - provided the tyres aren't narrower than your rims - expect they're going to be 23mm wide
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
