just realised about this thread so have moved event to this thread.
I am organising a free mountain bike challenge in Lennox Forest in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland on Sun 26th Sep 2010. The event is open to all the family with 3 levels of circuit to suit the various ages taking part. 7 - 11 year old (junior) complete 2 laps of a 1 mile short circuit, 12 - 17 year old (youth) complete 2 laps of the 4.4 mile circuit and the 18 + (Seniors) Complete 4 laps of the 5.1 mile circuit. The circuit consists of pine woodland singletrack, fast fire road descents and ascents, farm land sheep tracks and a ford crossing.
The event will start with the juniors on the dirt crit short circuit with the senior and youth circuit open for practice, then the youth start with the demo bikes open on the dirt crit area and finishing of with the seniors challenge.
there will also be a bike doctor on site, free parking and freebies to all entrants. Remember it is free to enter.
This is designed to be a fun day for the family so bring the kids and give them a chance to experience a mountain bike event with crowds cheering them on.
To enter just email Craig Hudson on healthyhabits@eastdunbarton.gov.uk with your name, age and contact details.
