Hi,
Im looking at buying a lightweight set of front suspension forks for my hardtail.
Have the offer of a set of Pace RC39 forks circa 2007 for around £180.
The seller states they have been lightly used and serviced twice by Pace, most recently 6 months ago.
The photos show them to appear to be in good nick.
I know the Pace forks have a somewhat bad rep as regards reliability but if they were a decent set are they worth a purchase? or shold i stick with tried and tested FOX, SID's etc at an extra cost,
cheers

i had a pair, the remote lever was hit and miss and the steerer tube material is made of cheese, yes they are light and look trick but nearly £200 notes for a 4 year old fork in my opinion is not worth the risk. a pair of 100mm rebas can be had for not much more, they are much stiffer and better damped which is worth the extra bit of weight
