Cake in a Pie?

They said this was impossible. But I took no notice of the unbelievers. This afternoon I have proved them wrong...

Take some Just-Rol shortcrust pastry, roll it out and make a pie base:

Place this in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 mins.

Whilst this is baking, mix the following together:

100g Glace Cherries
150g Chopped Walnuts
2 oz self raising flour
2 oz butter
1 oz demererererera sugar
2 medium eggs

The mixture is then placed int he pie base once it's been baked and then cover with the pie lid:

Bake in the middle of the oven for an hour at 180 degrees.

Your pie-Cake should then be cooked, but test with a sharp knife first.

Okay, so it doesn't look that nice, but It's dammed delicious and, there's not much left...
