Hi i would like advice about getting new forks for my bike. I have a 2008 kona dawg deelux with the scandium frame. I use it to hit the trail centres quite often but although the fox 140 mm forks are nice I have started doing some uplifts at innerleithen and the red route at nevis. I find that for these other routes I need a stiffer and longer travel fork in order to keep up with my mates. Ideally I would be able to have two bikes maybe having a second like a stinky etc but finances and space dictate that i must use my dawg.
I am 6'1" and 15 stone so i see a lot of flex on the current forks.
I have done some research and am only looking for coil forks. I am mostly looking at the rock shox Domain These are on sale just now for a reasonable price but I would like to know if they should ride ok on my dawg, if they are suitable should I go for the 180mm or the 160 u turn and what would the advantages of these be or is there any
the rest of my bike is fairly standard apart from tougher halo freedom wheels. Cheers for the help toughening up my dawg.
