seat height

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice on seat height, i raced my xc bike last night for the first time yesterday, but my seat felt too low, i measured it against my road bike and it was about 25mm lower, should they be the same height or should mtb be lower for the technical sections?

    It depends what you get use to on the bike. XC racers ride with the seat the same height as a road bike purely for power delivery(more efficient) but if it is a very technical course then sometimes this height would give confidence a knock.

    If you get use to riding it high then you will be fine for keeping it that high, even on the most technical sections. You'll need to get use to moving your weight off the back of the seat and tryiong to not hit yourself in the cockels.

    keep moving it up till you hips are rocking and then down a tad.
