Right, had a look last night at fitting me new rear shock but struggling to find the exact mounting hardware to fit this.

I have two options, either go for proper RS mounting hardware or find some bearings/bushes to fit.

The spesh FSR i have uses a bearing on the top and normal bushes at the bottom. But nothing i can find matches the requirements.
The closest RS do is a 12.7x8 mounting kit which is .3mm too small but i presume i can take up the slack with washes. Would this be ok?

The bottom is std type bushes, althought struggling to get them with the outer flange so small (under 1mm) i think i can machine down some Fox ones which appear to fit well enough in the hole. Again would this be ok?

0.3mm or 0.15mm per side is far too small for normal washers and I would suspect is the design size for that fixing. Using Fox bushes should be fine if they fit.

  • Sounds to me like a trip to the machine shop then and make whatever i can fit. No worries.
