Yup, Newport at the moment is home to the lane swapper on round abouts.

People straight lining round abouts in rush hour cutting everyone up, i''ve given up being polite now and good hand of horn is used teh finger and large dose of the right foot.

Fuck you Mr "Don't worry about my broken everything, I've got an automatic and cruise control and indictators are for people going slower than me" !
  • Tailgaters in shite cars!!! Being on a bike i usually wind it on to 9,000 rpm and this gives me a good distance, but they then close in after 5 mins and still drive a pube sized length from my number plate. All this on a 30 mph road.

People who, slam on,indicate and turn all in one stupid manouver. Are they not aware of the whole, Mirror, signal while braking pogrssivley and then making the manouver. Its not effin difficult

Maybe these people are trying to deliberately crash into you!

Watch the first few minutes, you'll understand a bit more. I watched this yesterday, it's making me think about driving now! If I ever crash, I'm taking photos!
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

There's no excuse for not taking photos now everyone has camera phones.

A while ago one of the drug companies we work with gave all our GPs "crash packs", which included an accident assessment form (multiple carbon copies for both parties to fill in detailing insurers, addresses and exact damage to the cars) and a disposable camera.

We've issued them to everyone who drives for the business since.

    Sounds like a good idea.
I was reversing my car to turn around a couple of weeks ago, and some idiot woman drove into the front of my car - whilst I was travelling backwards.
Now, i couldn't give a crap, there was no damage to my already battered car, and only a scuff on her rental car. but she wanted details etc, so I took pictures, made drawings, swapped details, and wished her luck in claiming that it was somehow my fault that she'd driven into a car that was travelling AWAY from her.

    Motorbike good, shush Alex.

All the BMW hating. It's not good for you! Everyone knows it's the audi drivers...

I do hate people who straight line roundabouts. Very, very much. It's not hard... Follow the lanes. The white painted things. Idiots.

I also dislike people who don't indicate on roundabouts. But then again, I also distrust the people who do indicate, because they might be wrong.

The only problem with M3s is that you have to buy a current shape one or you end up in that unfortunate position of being lumped with the bunch who suddenly realised they can afford an E46 whilst still on the dole.

People keep asking if mine's an M3, all I can say is "yes mate, that's why it makes tractor noises"

As I can't bring myself to take any sort of notice from someone who brought a singlespeed hardtail to a 24hr MTB race*.

Do you want me to put my corneas in the post? They are Shimano ones though...

Well, considering I've only ever owned crap, but fun cars, I'd love to one day be able to afford something that's fun, but is also "normal" looking. I couldn't be arsed with a spaceship like Evo, or Imprezza, but the M3s look relatively sensible, but are still going to be bucketloads of fun.
    one car for all occasions.

Having said that, I do, contradictingly, also really REALLY want a lotus Exige, and a flat/house even nearer Ty-Croes.
An Exige passed me whilst I was riding yesterday. i so wanted to car-jack the cnut.

    Har :)

I'd still like an E36 M3. One that hasn't been thrashed to bits. Sigh.

Or, lots of spare money, an M3 engine I can rebuild out the car then plonk it in, M3 shocks and springs and the diff... if it's different to the 2.5 litre version. M3 brakes. Then a supercharger.

If I had lots of money and time, I'd build myself a 4-wheel drive spaceframe buggy, road legal, with a turbocharged hayabussa engine.
    Mmm, oh yes.

    I don't think there are any E36 M3s that aren't ruined now :(

There's loads of E46 M3s round here any they're all fully wanked up.

I know :( That's why a spare engine and the rebuild is the way forward. The M3 engine's an M52 like mine, but with a longer stroke (ooo-er).

i drove home from wales in the middle lane of all of the motorways i used yesterday, i love to upset people who have a perfectly empty third lane in which they can over take me but think i ned to move out of their way.

my theory is that if they wanted to be infront of me, they could have started their journey sooner.

of course, i would move over if there was lots of traffic behind me and occupying the middle lane would have meant people were forced to slow, but when there is free access to the overtaking lane, i like to stay in th middle of the motor way like charly big potatoes.

also, slightly attached driving question, how is it that driving home at about 65mph as opposed to 80mph got me home just as fast and with about a quarter less of a tank of fuel over a 280 mile journey? ive never understood why driving 15mph faster doesnt seem to get me home an hour earlier?

An Audi c0ck almost crashed into me today. Was right up close in a 30 zone for ages, when I suprised him by braking at a roundabout because there were cars going straight on from my right. He must have been no more than ¦_________¦ far away, then started waving his arms and mouthing obscenities at me, for braking :?

    Waanker!
