In New Zealand I rode a Kona Kula 2008 and I loved that bike, but someone stole it in Australia

I want to buy a 2010 Kula Frame but it seems the geometry has changed subtly as follows:

19" Frame

2008
Head tube: 68.3 deg
Seat Angle: 70.3 deg
BB Height: 12.5"
Standover: 31.8
Top Tube: 23.7"
Chainstay: 16.7

2010
Head tube: 68.5 deg
Seat Angle: 70.5 deg
BB Height: 12.4"
Standover: 31.6"
Top Tube: 23.7"
Chainstay: 16.7

Do you think the 2010 frame will feel the same as the 2008?

I loved the confidence the slack head angle of the 2008 Kula gave but I'm not sure if the tweaks will be un-noticeably small or if the tweaks change the character of the ride.

In the real world I would say no difference at all - insignificant differences.

Those differences could simply be due to a shorter crown to axle length of the fork, maybe as little as 5mm. I would say the frame is exactly the same geometry.
  • I agree. The frame is the same. its a very small difference. good luck

I expect to be selling my 19" Kona Kula Deluxe (Scandium) frame next month, with a headset, and a thomson lay back seat post. It's a 2008, the blue/white one. Ridden half a dozen times off road at Pollock Park, and a few dozen times on road and cycle paths around Glasgow. Excellent condition. I'll put it in the classifieds section when I strip the bike down next month.
