........proud enough to burst when your kids do so well ?
Firstly, may I apologise in advance for the gratuitous, parentally indulgent content of this thread, but I had to tell someone.
Our daughter has been horse riding for just short of a year and this week she's been off to her 1st Pony camp.
Allow me to introduce Jo-Jo (daughter) and Star (horse)
On top of the various rosettes she won for the different disciplines they do,
and a whole heap of achievement badges for her pony club tests,
she had a clear round in her 1st ever jumping event (she's only been jumping for the past 2 weeks)
and was awarded the trophy for the all round best pony club member of 2010.
Needless to say her mum and me are very proud of her,
and just because I know she's far too nosey for her own good and she's bound to look at this later,
Jo-Jo, don't pick the wedgie out of your arse when there's a camera pointing at you

Ah, that would involve a penis and a vagina and some testicles iirc
She's already had some sex education at school and was chuffed to bits to tell me all about that when she got home. The Northern Monkey wrote:Ace... horses frighten the doo daarr outa me
They just relieve me of the little bit of cash the mtb has left behind.......0 -
Well done Jo-Jo!
My brother is a massive horsey fan. He ended up studying Equine Studies at some Uni in Warwick I think. Needless to say, I'm not particularly interested in horses (or my brother), they don't scare my though, more, annoy me
I've always wanted to try a horse burger though :twisted:It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Meh, makes me sick all you horsey types. If you can afford for her to go horse riding, just THINK of how well you could back her in MTBing? She could be the next Rachel Atherton!0

Nope, just so I knew how to ride a horse if I ever needed to for a specific reason
Was never good enough to ride for a club0 -
Well, really, Clint Eastwood rode a horse because he was pretending to be someone else. BUT he could fire a gun and not blink - which is actually pretty rare.0
-
ive been horse riding a couple of times, i quite like it and really want shire horse at some point just as a pet (that i can ride around places) i think they are gleaming.0
-
I mean, he could fire a gun, and not blink during the firing of it. Obviously.
We're all capable of firing guns, and blinking, just not necessarily at the same time.0 -

Given that this is technically the same forum that once outshone the Aristocrats by such a margin that Future Publishing lost a major advertiser, I'm impressed by the restraint shown in this thread.0
