Dock leaves

I got stung by nettles for the second day running today, and for the second day running I couldn't find a dock leaf for love nor money! They used to be everywhere when I was a kid, where have they all gone?! Anyone else noticed their decline?

Dogs have killed them all. As more and more of us have pets and take them walking, more and more dogs pee on them. They learn not to pee on nettles as it stings their knobs, so they slash on the nearest thing - dock leaves. And it kills them.0

Next time you call at a cafe after a ride, grab some vineger sachets and throw em in ya rucksack......one of those rubbed into the sting will sort the itch out, granted you'll smell like a giant chip, but no stingy delicate leggies

Only one problem, I hate the smell of vinegar more than nettle stings 0 -
You could pee on it. Probably.
In fact, it's almost certainly worth a go. Any excuse to justify peeing on yourself can only be a good thing.
Apart from that, antihistamine should work, I think.
Or, kill all dogs.
Or, just MTFU.
I had a girlfriend who had some interesting ideas about nettles once. But that's for a different thread.0 -

Neither, I just usually see the nettles coming, they were hiding in the bracken the sneaky bastids! The forest seems to have had a massive growth spurt recently (probably due to this lovely weather! ) most of the time today I seemed to be clearing the trail with my helmet/handlebars/shins/pedals. I usually look like a self harmer with the bramble cuts I get. Thing is I don't mind cuts, they bleed a bit then they're fine, but nettle stings bug me all night, they're still tingling now!0 -

He told me spit takes away the sting- seemed to work.
