First 29er bulid - component advice

Hi,
Been running a couple of 26 bikes for a few years now and have built up a stock of 'components' that are gathering dust.
So rather than sell, I thought why not build up a 29er!
I do cross country and enduro races so looking to spend many a 'happy' hour in the saddle.
I've been looking at the on-one inbred or scandal frame as a starting point. Initial comments/alternatives?
After that key things I need will be forks and a chainset. I'm looking for air forks really although a few friends have been pushing me hard on rigid carbon forks but I'm not sold yet. After that I'm pretty much away. so some thoughts advice on those as well?
Many thanks,
Ian
