On the way home from work yesterday, thoroughly drenched, I managed to get to the top of Hampstead Heath before being hit by an unmendable puncture. Had to get a taxi home.

This morning, nice and dry and on the reserve bike I'm manage to get a full mile from home before my pedal slides off the spindle. Aaargh. I'd lost the restraining bolt without noticing.

Anyway, now have to drag home on the Tube with new pedals, inner tube and tyre. Hope tomorrow is better.

You've just reminded me I forgot to lube the chain last night. Must do so tonight.

    Tomorrow will be better
  • Cool, and I need to start carrying that spare tube I keep in the shed.

Gosh, and tighten my chain...
