I've ordered some 26x2.35 (Maxxis Minion DH F) tyres but noticed my spare tubes i have are only 26 x 1.5/2.2 SV (doh!) i'm guessing i'll be on the limit if i use those, can anybody advise what tubes would be best?

You'll probably be OK with the tubes you have, but like you say, you'll be stretching them a bit and if you're using the tyres properly, you wont want to do that! There's plenty of DH tubes avaialble from Maxxis/Schwalbe etc and most are much of a likeness - more heavy duty than a standard tube so heavier weight, but if you're downhilling, durability is more important. you'll get tubes to go up to and slightly bigger than 3" so you wont have any probs

Thanks for reply, i'll be using them for trail use, so i might get away with my 2.2 tubes for now?
I've found these Schwalbe AV10 or Schwalbe AV13 but whats the difference with the AV numbers??

Just noticed the av10 are 24" haha (need to look at the descriptions better) so AV13s could be the choice!

they should do the trick, but you'll find they wont be a great deal different to what you've already got.......i should definately stay away from the 24", nightmare to fit on a 26" wheel!
  • minion 2.35's come up small anyways... you'll be fine.

You will be fine, I have used 2.1 tubes in High Rollers and Minions with no problems.

I do find the uni-tube system of Conti tubes useful though
