What are the limitations of a 24h wheel?

Hi all!
I need to learn about what sort of safe use a light 24-hole wheel will manage.
Keeping within the XC zone, for a rider weight of, say, 90kg, would it do just fine on fast trail use?

It's perfectly doable:
XC: Mavic Crossmax SLR: 18front / 20rear
AM: Mavic Crossmax SX : 24 front / 24 rear
DH: Mavic Deemax Ultimate: 28 front / 32 rear
If you are building up a set from scratch. The key is to get a good wheelbuilder.0 -
I think my Crossmax Enduros are 18 and 20, and for what they are built for, work very well.
But as above the build is very important.0 -
Oh, I see... so, these ones

should be just fine....
Kindda ike the look of them for the money.

Or the Shimano Xt
or
Easton XC one (bit more money, I know...)My On One Inbred and Com Meta 5.5.1:

I had some shimano factory wheels that were 28 spoke and honestly they were crap, they lasted me 7 months before they had to be replaced so personally i would be very wary of and buy a set of good hand built wheels.0
