Shoes without venting/mesh. Does any one use them?

Hiya.

I mean this type:

This is a M183N and I am looking for shoes that I can wear all year round so without mesh like most summer shoes that take water from the top. My main concern is : will they be too hot in the summer. Anyone has any experience of these shoes or similar meshless shoes ?

    suspect most would have a pair of winter shoes or just stay indoors on the turbo trainer.

    gaerne g wallaby shoes in review were meant to keep the feet dry and warm even tho it have a mesh.
    want to hijack this thread was searching through the threads on mtb xc shoes.
    trying to decide on what ones to try on, tho crc dont have specialized mtb shoes.
    main question is where can i find out comparison of foot width between the various brands ie sidi, gaerne, shimano, specialized

    had a pair of sidi 6.6 genius shoes tho their heel shape was quite narrow as specialized is a bit wider.
