Any decent B&B's in or around the Bourg area (Alp Duez)

As the title says, we were in Bourg this year and would like to go back next year. We stayed in a local B&B and it was ok, but thought we'd look around for somewhere new for next year. Hoping to go the week before the Tour starts at the end of June.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

The previous place was a 5km ride from the foot of Alp Duez.

Thanks in advance

  • Try Guy & Helyn at King of the Mountains near Oisans, on the Col de Ornon. They are very experienced of hosting UK cycling clients. Sky TV & very good food.

Thanks, I'll take a look, and it looks like they are right near where we stayed.

I've stayed at both of these:

Le Belledonne - 7km from foot of the Alpe, nice, spacious pool area & playground which is great for kids. The campsite restaurant is nice and there is a small shop onsite.

La Cascade - right on the start line of the Alpe. I stayed in the chalets which were very cosy and well equipped. The pool area was small and the play area for children wasn't great. However, it is in walking distance to the town centre and the main Casino supermarket which is a plus. http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/lacascadesarenne/

I've stayed at the Belledonne 3 times - it's my preference as we have always had the children with us. If we didn't have children, I don't think I would have a preference - La Cascade is more convenient for the town whereas the Belledonne is slightly more spacious in terms of pitch size.

Thanks for that! Seems theres a fair bit of choice at least. Bit more pricey that Bedoin, but still not bad. Can't wait!
