If you hands are in the same place, due to spacers, stem height, stack height and back sweep, no.0

ok.just comparing the scandium flat and riser bars over at carbon cycles and though the flat is 60mm narrower it is less than half the weight of the riser :shock:0

I have flat wide bars and find them to be great..
need to cut them down now that i've had a proper ride out though... 700mm should just about do it I think.0 -
I prefer them to risers; but it's all personal, i like my front end to be as low as possible. However it doesn't work for everyone - including my mate who swears by his 3" risers. What We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0

Def depends on the bike too... I prefer the lower front end on my P7 compared to that of my old NS.0

My Nuke Proof's are 760mm wide and 20mm rise, but the current trend with the downhill 'yoof' seems to be for mega-wide flat bars around the 800mm mark. It's a bit much for me.0

The reason DH riders are migrating back towards flat bars is because modern DH forks are just massively long. Using a riser bar as well just takes things too far in many cases.0
