If they like funky: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kandi-Ibiza-201 ... 468&sr=1-5
If they like it more commerical: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Annual-2010-Var ... 68&sr=1-12
If they like it progressive/minimal/techy: http://www.amazon.co.uk/John-Digweed-St ... 575&sr=1-1
If they like Tiesto: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Magikal-Journey ... 466&sr=1-2
My personal choice would be Hed Kandi.Giant Rapid 30 -
Wow talk about an impossible question to answer. there are genres within genres.
for "commercial" trance you cant go wrong with armin van buurenThe dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
I'd go with the early Ministry annuals. 1997 - 2004? After 2004 for me Trance became more Euro pop.0

The annual Trance Energy CDs are always alright.
It's a little old now but the "Cream - Future Trance" complilation is good value too.0 -
I agree with the above about the early ministry annuals, also the early Cream compilations and some of the Gods Kitchen ones, one of the best that I listen to is Paul Oakenfold - Anthems, all of the classics and mixed really well
Play.com are currently doing it for £4.56 delivered!
