Does anyone know where to buy the above in England?

Done a search but can't find any.

Thanks in advance!

    Recently got some from here:

    http://www.wheelroom.co.uk/

He has limited stock of the rims and prefers to build whole wheels with them rather than sell rims separately. You can supply your own hubs for him to build up though.

Very happy with my wheels and the service and communication was excellent.

You could always give the Lincoln shop a ring and they might be able to get rim only? I know they are awaiting a rim for a customer who trashed his aero wheel in a race. So they might be able to help ?

One of my local LBSs is the Grantham branch of Cyclesport, but have to say they're not the best shop in the world. You order something and you don't hear anything else about it.

There is an excellent place in Grantham though if you get stuck.

I thought the Halo mercury rims were made with the nobium alloy, probably by IRD? Could be wrong. They are much easier to get hold of.

Just like to say i have no problems with the cyclesport shop in Lincoln. Been going there for a while . Can't vouch for the Grantham shop never been but does not sound good. Maybe down to that they are managed differently. Hence customer service

I have the Cadence aero rims built onto Novatec Lite's using CX Rays. They're great wheels - light and stiff.

what spoke count do you have? I am limited to 32 on the back, but wondering about the front, maybe 24? I am not that heavy and none of the wheels I have owned have ever seriously come out of true, but I am noticing the frequent potholes in the roads that races are on so I think I need to keep this in mind.

I've got 24h front and 28h rear on my IRD Aeros laced with CX Rays. Raced and trained on them since March and they're still perfectly true. Part of that's obviously down to the quality of the build from Derek @ Wheelsmith though.

Don't let the OCP mob see this, but its the only one I've got....

As you can see I removed the horrible IRD decals. They look pretty ordinary in the picture, but actually look pretty cool in the flesh.

Just spoke to the UK distributor, they generally only do them as crash replacements. PM me what you want and I'll see what I can do.

Is it the 420's you're after?

Oh yes you have to remove the decals - they're bobbins but very easy to get off

FWIW the IRD Cadence rim as supplied by Wheelsmith is not the same as the IRD rim used on AC420s - the 420s are deeper and don't have external exelets. FWIW Derek is no longer supplying rims only. I did try and source some IRD Aeros a while ago but couldn't find a UK source, particularly as Amercian Classic didn't have a distributor. Bought some Halo rims instead.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I know they are not the same, I was looking for one or the other, as both have good reviews and availability seems to be an issue. I have been speaking to Derek and has tempted me, but I have a club mate who is very good at building wheels who might be able to show me how to do it (thus getting wheels, and learning how to maintain them properly).

Hi Chip \'oyler, I'm looking at getting a set of these - what do you think of the Novatech Hubs?
