What's the opinion on the required size for these? I keep reading you need to go up a size - I wear size 45 (UK 10) do I need to get a 46 / 47 to get a pair to fit?

I got size 10, and I'm a 9 1/2ish depending on shoe manufacturer/style. Vans/Airwalk style I get a 9 but proper shoes I normally get a 10. The size 10 Shimano's fit me lovely, and are a nice 'roomy' (but not too big) fit with cycling socks and are snug, (but not too tight) with Porelle/SealSkinz waterproof thermal socks on.
I love mine, the only problem I have is my feet get too hot on the way home if the day warms up. Needs to be under 7-8 degrees with thin cycling socks on or 0 or below with thermal socks.
Mine have not disappointed me yet. :D

try em on first, no sizes worked for me. i am 45 usually, 46 was still too small, and 47 was way too big. i went for the specialized defroster in a 46 which was bang on. space for sealskins, or can strap them a bit tighter with a lighter sock for summer rain.
  • this post reminded me to buy my mw80's as they seem to sell out very fast...my wallet nil, wiggle 105 !
