a bit of market research please your input really will help.

We have a posh property that we aim to holiday rent. Will be aiming 5*. 2 beds, very modern, luxury, warm. Cwmcarn/cwmbran area - Twmbarlum

What would you expect in relation to your mountain biking needs? We also plan to do the bring your horse/walkers too so we can accommodation all types of outdoor people. Jet wash, tumble drier, dry room, collect/delivery service - you know what I mean.

We would be asking £500ish per week but would also do the short breaks, are short breaks better - are you a weekender biker hence this would suit you?

Basic food stuff delivered or offer a proper shop?

If perhaps youve stayed at a brilliant/terrible self cat property - can you list why?

We want to get this right from the start so your feedback is very welcome.

Get a hot tub. Cold Beers on arrival. Bike Tools. Tubes if required. Friendly person to come round about an hour after they arrive to see if they need anything and and local advice on trails.

Secure bike/stuff lockup. Wet room for muddy gear. Local trail info. If you had contacts in the area to go to that would be usefull, (bike hire, trail guides, skills training), get local sponsors (they recommend you, you recommend them, swap marketing media etc). Maps of the area to borrow or buy. +1 on above for tools and tubes and things people always forget or use up. Hot tub! ... oh yeah. Bike wash facilities and stinky bike-wear washing facilities...

+1 on friendly rep... but not just when you arrive, on hand by phone for local advice and accomodation help etc... Think ski-resort, what do they provide?
