  • Love the quote from Pooley...
Pooley becomes the first woman to win in Plouay two years in a row, but she didn’t want to take this race as an indication for the Worlds in Australia in October. “Last year I won here and I was shit at the Worlds,” she said with a big laugh.

A counter attack from Antony Charteau (Bbox Bouygues Telecom) et Alexandre Geniez (Skil-Shimano) have 30 secs

    The leaders are 2.40 ahead

  • Loved the tweet from Cycling Weekly earlier

Along the lines of they should rename it the GP Pooley

The average of the race 30mins ago was 36km/h, so not particularly fast. The last lap was 40km/h

Cataldo. Followe after by Moreau, Pineau and Lampre (35). Regroupment. Moreau goes.

Btw, this is Moreau's last ever race
"Je suis un peu ému de prendre mon dernier départ mais je pense que je le serais encore plus ce soir en déchaussant. Mais il me faut savoir tourner la page. J'ai vécu 16 années dans le cyclisme qui ont été merveilleuses et aujourd'hui j'espère bien me montrer dans les deux derniers tours. J'étais en forme du Tour du Limousin et même si Plouay n'est pas vraiment un circuit pour moi, je vais faire de mon mieux pour terminer sur une bonne note !"

Soar counters - been very active this race. They have won a fair few of the 'lesser' races this year too.

That a race like this is won today with a sprint by sprinters is rubbish.

What is the point of putting a flat last km...had it terminated at 1km at the top of the climb Dan Martin would have taken a great win. That boy has some superb form at the moment. He could well take Lombardia.

  • They're not exactly what you'd call sprinter's sprinters though would you? They're good rouleurs with a turn of speed. Only Farrar out of that lot could win a full strength GT bunch sprint

So saying that the Sky name I had pasted from the ticker was incorrect.

    Great contribution to the thread.
