Can anyone reccomend any side lighting.Looked at the lights that fit onto the valves but they don't seem to fit presta valves. Any ideas?

  • cateye orbit lights that go in the spokes. Might not be perfect for road use (as in racing, commuting is perfect)

not that expensive either, 15 quid retail I believe.

Side lighting imo needs to be on permanantly during the ride rather than flashing. If you go for anything get an amber, green or white. Dont use in flash or people think they're indicators

Cateye do some spoke lights. The benefit of lights like that is that they convey movement that means "bike". The downside is that they intefere with wheels handling/balance a little

Tesco were selling spoke lights that fitted presta

There were also a couple of blogs and youtube vids on these kinds of things, also kits for making your own spoke lighting, so that might be worth a google or search

I have tyre flys - they do flash, but its so quick that I'd be happy with them.

To get them to fit your valves - just superglue them to some valve covers. Works perfectly for me !

Oh these are constantly on http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TYRE-FLY-LED-TIRE ... 0370291539

    £4 bargain !
