Can anyone reccomend decent side lighting.I looked at the tyre fly lights that fit on the valve but they don't seem to fit presta valves. Any ideas?

They will fit on presta valves, I've fitted alloy valve caps in the past that were meant for schraeder caps by simply pushing them onto the presta cap. They won't go all the way onto the cap and need a few mm trimming off the cap, can be a bit of a bugger if you want to put them onto schraeder caps later though.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

If you have the budget the monkeylectric ones look good. Link here;

There's footage of them on youtube, and another thread about them somewhere on the forum.0 -
I Know someone who made for the A Level project a set of LED lights that were AA battery sized and could be fitted to the spokes. They were rechargeable and could be put in the charger at home. I dont know if there is anything else like that on the market... If not it might be worth looking into making your own thing i've considered it before and might do so this winter in my Electrnics class in my spare time. If i do i'll let you know. I might make a few too many or something...0

there was a bit of chat about these beasties on here last autumntime, they seemed to be popular with those that got em.0 -
I've got a few spoke lights. They were good fun and certainly eye-catching! Will be using them again this year once I've stockpiled a few dozen batteries0

+1 for the Fibre Flare, they're a little pricey, but very good visibility.
Never seen those monkey lights before though. Can't decide if they're really cool, or really cringey. It's just annoying I can't look at youtube vids at work-have to wait til I get home0 -
Not technically lights but I've just added these, no hassle, easy fit, no batteries & should really glow at car head lights when it gets darker...

Just how much of a pain is that in cross winds through your wheels?0 -

You wouldn't notice, they are not much wider than the spokes, has to be better than reflectors..0 -

As it just looks like you have some metal sheet in between the spoke0 -

I must admit they seem quite impressive, without the hassle of batteries as well, think I will give them a try, thanks.0
