Leeds to Scarborough Kit Advice

Hello!
Looking for some advice! Im doing a ride from Leeds to Scarborough tomorrow, just packing my kit away, having problems storing it all. Just got a Trek 1.5 which to which I have added a saddle bag which is fine for puncture repair kit, tyre levers, energy bars etc also got the pocket on my jersey. Im having problems with finding somewhere to store my waterproof jacket (just in case!).
I have completed the coast to coast on a mountain bike with panniers, but I don't really want to use them on my road bike.
Anyone ideas?

I'm doing something similar on Monday but I'm going to Bridlington (after doing Morecambe to Leeds tomorrow).
Depends what you mean by waterproof jacket. I carry a very lightweight windproof/semi waterproof I got from Lidl for pennies. It rolls up and fits in my middle jersey pocket along with my pump and arm and leg warmers if it is potentially chilly. That leaves one pocket for food (usually flapjackes, energy bars and gels) and the other pocket for two spare inner tubes. The saddlebag gets the tools, my keys and phone, cash and credit card.
No point having a bulky waterproof - it won't keep the water off if you keep cycling.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Thanks for the advice, I took a chance and went without it! Turned out to be a fab day, even caught the sun!
Did Leeds to Filey in the end, left Leeds at 9 and arrived at Filey at 2.20, 80 miles (we went on quiet roads and through castle howard)
Saw lots of people with very small waterproofs stuffed in the jerseys, will have to get one of those for the next ride.
How was your trip?0
