Hi everyone, Im looking to go back to racing next season having not raced for four years. I used to race on a carrera valour which i found to be perfect. But now it is much to small for me so I need to get a new road bike in time for the next season. My budget is a max of £400 and I cannot go any higher. Im looking at two bikes, the viking san milano, and the claud butler san remo. I have never heard of viking, are they any good? Please can someone tell me which bike to go for and why. Thanks!

P.S. I cant buy online, it must be from a shop. :)

Seriously, I'd look at secondhand bikes for that price...especially if you plan on racing them...
  • Thanks, But the reason im buying from a shop is that i plan to pay in installments, i doubt any seconhand sellers would do that :D

  • Can you get a deal on a Raleigh Airlite 100? They seem excellent vfm.

RRP is £500. but the online retailers have them as low as £325. so instore you might be able to agree a deal at £400 possibly?

Isn't the Halfords Carrera Virtuoso supposed to be good value for money at £350? Review Here
  • If looking at the Carrera the deals had onthe TDF are worth considering also. (I feel a bit like a broken record on this one lol)
