holiday destination for second week in september

We're looking for a place to go cross country biking in the second week of September. We can go anywhere and are consider Les gets (but there is apparently only one lift open). So I was wondering if you need the lifts to go biking around Morzine / Les gets.
Also does anyone have any suggestions for anywhere else.
There will be me and my girlfriend, both of us do most of our biking on red graded trail centres and have been to a good variety of the ones around Scotland and northern England but we're looking for somewhere sunny and warmer for a holiday.

Not sure 'sunny and warm' is in any way certain for Morzine / Les Gets in September.
Every time Ive been there in August it's pssed it down half the week0
