Old fashioned kind with leather strop.

Used one when I first started shaving and never had any problems. Just gotta make sure you don't shave in a rush...

Had one a few years ago too but lost it when moving house. That's why I bought the mach 3 and then just never bothered to replace it till now.

That's pretty cool. My ex could only use the newer ones. She said it was some health and safety thing these days, just in case somebody got cut, and some blood borne diseases got carried over.
    Makes sense I suppose.

    It is gone.

And shaving with an old style single blade? Absolutely no more comfortable than with the multi blade abominations, it seems. Going to let it grow for a day and then try again with another fresh blade (they're not really designed for hacking off centimetre long face fuzz), if that doesn't feel better it's all going in the bin.

Can't think of any time I'll need to be clean shaven before I graduate anyway.

Before you graduate? Sod that. The only occasion I'm clean shaven for is funerals, pretty much.

I've used most, and there all equally as shit. Though i found the best way is to change razor makes every now, sounds silly but there great for a couple of months until you realise why you stopped using them.. Q new razor.
Been wanting to know what a cut throat is like though.

absolutely, the old style gillette sensor with two decent blades on top of each other on a thin head are sposed to be for day to day shaving, you'll get away with 4 or 5 days growth tops before one struggles and you have to rinse vigorously every few inches.

If I shaved every 5 days I'd look like a tramp by day 5.

Not helped by that fact that I look like a cleanly shaved tramp normally.

i wanted a wet shave this morning but only have spare blades for a razor handle i no longer own. so holding the replacment razor heads between my thumb and forefinger i managed a lovely clean shav, im not sure if its particulalry safe and it certainly isnt quick.
