Ha! 20 years ago I was deciding which a levels I wanted to do more, couldn't decide so I did 5 plus the compulsory General Studies. 2As, 2Bs and 2Cs.

I'm particularly fond of Physics, mainly because I think I attended around 30 classes in the 2 years of study. Too busy listening to ACDC, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

You might want to learn to spell the name of the place properly if you're going to be spending some time there
It's a VERY "welsh" part of wales. So much so, in fact, that I , as a native, welsh speaking Welshman, am made to feel uncomfortable there. It's a bit like a cult town.

    PRECISELY.

It is an odd place. I can follow conversations perfectly in North Wales (naturally!) and even in Bala (which is also a bit peculiar), all the way down to South Wales, and the valleys.

However, I have REAL trouble understanding anyone talking Welsh from Aberystwyth. They all sound like Aled on the Chris Moyles show. :?
  • Is it a case of accents i.e a cockney talking to a gyppo or is it just a different dialect (like in transformers 2 where the little robot that megan fox kidnaps cant understand a language because its "Old school")<<<sorry only way i could try and explain it

That's the funny thing in Wales, go 5 miles down the road and there's an entirely different dialect and accent

I don't know what it is in Aberystwyth though, I think it's a combination of peculiar accent, and a very different dialect.
  • Heh, only been there once on a school trip

myngweneth or something, long time ago, and we didnt even get to meet one welsh person
